Debut Album Track 'Winds of Heresy' Exclusively released on Myspace New Years Eve!!!
Ithaca is a UK based Prog/Symphonic Metal band which formed in 2009. Founded by keyboardist and singer Christian Howes who wanted to make a return to metal after working in the film music industry for three years.
Christian wanted to bring his love of prog, metal and classical music together by drawing on his experiences working on film and his training in composition and orchestration. However he also needed the help and talent of some amazing musicians.
Christian's first move was to contact guitarist Jason Hunt (Flesh That Burns, Timefall) a former band-mate from UK metal outfit Aconite and with his help began writing the material for Ithaca's debut album 'Songs of The Fallen' to be released in Spring 2010.
Christian and Jason were soon joined by Charlie Mckenzie Stewart on drums and ......... on bass guitar. Two outstandingly talented musicians who added something purely magical to the table, bringing the mix alive in the studio.
The most recent addition to the Ithaca lineup came in the form of Christian's Fiancee, Female vocalist and keyboard player Samantha Coulson.
Ithaca are now hard at work completing the album and will be taking to the stage across the UK in the coming months to promote the new material.
Ithaca are proud to endorse Sabre Guitars. The most advanced electric guitars on Earth.
