:: THE IDEA

Italian keyboardist Christian Casini one day decides to assemble a heavily synthesizers/keyboards-oriented project in the progressive psychedelic rock genre. In order to make the project more interesting and stimulating, Christian decides the band should have not one but three keyboardists. He looks around in the italian scene and contacts Andrea de Paoli (Labyrinth) and Alberto Rizzo Schettino for the job. With Andrea and Alberto being extremely happy to hear of such a project, Chaos Venture becomes reality.


:: THE BIG BANG

The three agree the album should focus on being extremely flexible and not solely restricted to a pure progressive rock approach. Every influence from Ambient, Electronica, Hard Rock, Rock Fusion and Metal is scouted, disassembled and put into work in various tunes. Since the three live and work far from each other, most of the ideas and sketches are sent over the internet for months.


:: THE GOOD COMPANY

At some point Christian, Andrea and Alberto have gathered a pretty huge amount of musical material. It is time to define how many faces this project is going to have. Even with the strong emphasis on keyboards instruments, the three decide there would be no reason to miss the character and beauty of some guitar sounds. Christian contacts guitarist Gianfilippo Innocenti, close friend of his, to lay down guitar parts. Later on, guitarist Gabriele Casini takes part to the project and with two guitars Chaos Venture is now able to feature the usual, proven contrast between guitar and synthesizer sounds.

With the new soundscape these guitars offer, Chaos Venture decide to take the project one step further.

Christian contacts bassist Andrea "Tower" Torricini (Vision Divine) and drummer Tony Liotta. With renowned enthusiasm and with the amazing, strong sound that these two add to the project, Chaos Venture shapes into its final stage.


:: THE REALIZATION

The band decides that Alberto Rizzo Schettino's Fuseroom Studio will be the heart of the production, with other studios collaborating to the recording process: Andrea De Paoli's MD Sound Studio and Andrea Fresu's Keep Hold Studios. A tight schedule keeps the workflow going and here we are now, looking and listening to the results. The entire production, from the initial recording to the final master, has been an incredible journey of musical contaminations, influences, great fun and overall mutual knowledge sharing. We have all learned so much from each other and let the best of our experience be available to the project. Chaos Venture has been and still is to us the rare and often unforeseen expectation of what a great music project should be for any passionate and (slightly!) obsessed musician.
